The color red in interior design

The color red is full of passion and great warmth. Since this is Valentine's Day, what I better way to celebrate the color red. Like using any color for interior design and home furnishings red can be used many ways. Red being an intense color is not for everyone but there are ways to use it in small doses. Red can give a dull room some needed passion. During these gray cold days of winter red brings a welcome feeling to any room. I have pick some images here to help show you how you can make red work for you.

The color pink is fresh, happy as well as being romantic. Pink is refreshing and not just for warm climates. It's a warm welcome on a cold winter day. Using pink upholstered fabric on dinning chairs is a great way to add a splash of color to your dinning room. Another idea is to find a painting that has pink as the main color and make that the focal point in one of your rooms. Adding accessories is a great idea as well. Painting your wall a shade of pink can add drama and warmth. Remember there are many shades of every color including pink. You do not have to go with the brightest shade or hue. I hope this gives some great ideas of how to use pink in interior design.
